Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning.

Meals are planned based on the Child Care Menu Planning and the Alberta Nutrition Guidelines for Children and Youth and are tailored to be both delicious and developmentally appropriate for young children. We provide children with two well-balanced, nutritious snacks and a wholesome lunch each day, ensuring they receive a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and protein-rich foods to support their growth, energy, and overall well-being.

At Avenida, we are proud to prepare fresh, nutritious meals on site daily. Currently we do not charge for meals at the Centre.

At Skypointe, all meals are prepared by Aarmark, meal vendor contracted by Agecare, ensuring quality and consistency. Families have two options:

1. Join our meal program for an additional fee.
2. Bring meals from home, in accordance with Alberta Health Services (AHS) guidelines, which will be shared with you before your child starts.
